It was a summer for the books for swim team members in the Memorial-Spring Branch area, including the Memorial Bend Barracudas. The Memorial Spring Branch Swim Conference hosted its annual Meet of Champs after a fantastic regular season for the swim team. The Wilchester Wahoos reigned triumphantly at the meet, but the Barracudas put in a valiant effort, coming in fifth overall and winning the sportsmanship award for their positive attitude. The team was pleased with this well-deserved award that shows it is not only about winning but about being a great sport and teammate, too. Pictured (from left) are Memorial Bend Barracudas Girls 9/10 swimmers Molly Ebbs, Payton Grigsby, and Maddie Bayliss. Other swimmers included Taylor Grigsby, Lauren Kalmbach, Lily Dickerson, and Kailyn Davis.
