The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), Greater Houston Section (GHS), is presenting the 2021 Boots and Bling Virtual Gala and Auction Oct. 30. Lisa and Jeffrey Stanton (pictured) will receive the Robin Perlo Berry NextGen Leadership Award, which recognizes young leaders in Houston for their community work and philanthropy. Lisa and Jeffrey are passionate about advocacy work for mental health and the LGBTQ+ community. NCJW will also honor past NextGen Leadership Award recipients at the event, including Daniel Fein, Bari Fishel, Esther and Doug Freedman, Ellyn Haikin Josef, Diane Kraitman, Jackelyn and Zachary Silverman, Rachel and Levi Strauss, Rebecca Weiner, and Jennifer Haikin Zach. The organization’s projects include AVDA (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse), founded by NCJW in 1980; HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters); and the Back 2 School Store, providing clothing and supplies to elementary students.
